This is our seventh blooming report of 2018. Every week we will write a new post with information about the weather conditions in the Netherlands and the blooming predictions.
April 12th 2018: Let Spring begin!
At last the temperatures are above 15 degrees and the sun is increasing in strength. The flowers are flowering.
The Bollenstreek (Dutch Flower Region) is getting more and more color each day. More and more tulips, hyacinths and daffodils are showing their color. The flowering is still slightly behind but with the expected high temperatures in combination some rain, we expect that the time for the tulips really comes.

Forecast April weather
The coming days are perfect for enjoying the Dutch flowers. Sun and blue skies always provide beautiful photos. It is also ideal for cycling weather so that a route along the flower fields is recommended for everyone.
The weather will look very good this coming week. A lot of sun and higher temperatures ensure that the flowers can grow well and that it is also wonderful to cycle. The colors on the fields will therefore become brighter every day and the hyacinths smell wonderful. However, some hyacinth fields will be picked. This is because the flowers are needed to make the flower parade
floats. Keep an eye on our website and facebook page for the latest updates.
