Tulip Festival 2027 runs from 18 March to 9 May, and Tulip Experience Amsterdam is one of the few places where you can walk right into a sea of tulips. This tulip farm in Noordwijkerhout, just 2 kilometres from Keukenhof, combines a show garden with millions of tulips, a museum about bulb growing and an indoor garden where you can pick your own tulips.

What to expect at Tulip Experience
- Show garden: about 4 million tulips in more than 700 varieties, all from the grower’s own farm, laid out for photos and walking.
- Tulip museum: follow the bulb from planting to shipping around the world, with authentic machines from the past.
- Indoor picking garden: pick your own bunch of tulips to take home.
- Film and coffee corner: a short film about the history of the Bollenstreek and Dutch treats to go with your coffee.
- For children: a treasure hunt through the farm.
The striped tulip fields around it are production fields for bulbs, where visitors may not walk. At Tulip Experience you can, which makes it one of the best places for photos among the tulips.

How to get to Tulip Experience
- From Amsterdam: the easiest way is one of the tours above, with a guaranteed seat from THIS IS HOLLAND.
- From Keukenhof: it is 2 km. Rent a bike at Keukenhof (€ 12.50) and follow the cycle routes past the tulip fields, or walk it in about 30 minutes. A taxi is also possible.
- By car: parking at Tulip Experience is free. Use the address Delfweg 37, 2211 VK Noordwijkerhout.
- By public transport: take the train to Leiden, Hillegom or Nieuw-Vennep station, then bus 22 to the Ruigenhoek stop in Noordwijkerhout. From there it is about a 12-minute walk.
Opening hours 2027
Tulip Experience Amsterdam is open from Thursday 18 March to Sunday 9 May 2027, every day from 08:00 to 18:00, including Easter, King’s Day and Flower Parade weekend. The tulips are usually at their best from mid to late April; earlier in the season the indoor gardens and the first early tulips are in bloom.
