Bollenstreek – The Dutch flower region

Holland produces a staggering 70% of the world’s commercial flower output. For a colorful glimpse into the Dutch flower power, you need to go no further than the so-called ‘flower strip’ (known in Dutch as the Bollenstreek).

The Bollenstreek is located just a 40 minutes drive from the centre of Amsterdam. With Holland’s famous bulb fields in full bloom, you’ll be surrounded on all sides by a rainbow of flowers. The famous Keukenhof Garden is also located in the Bollenstreek.
