The Dutch Flower Parade is one of the most spectacular events of the tulip season, when huge floats covered in hyacinths and tulips drive a 42 km route through the Bollenstreek. It’s free to watch from the roadside, but for a relaxed, up-close experience most visitors book a grandstand seat (with catering and toilets) or a guided tour from Amsterdam that combines the parade with Keukenhof or a tulip farm. It’s the busiest weekend of the year, so the best spots and tours go quickly.

Shuttle bus from Amsterdam + Keukenhof (€54.50)
The easiest budget option: the Tulip Festival shuttle bus leaves every 15 minutes from the A’DAM Tower (near Amsterdam Central Station) straight to Keukenhof, with Keukenhof entry included. The parade passes Keukenhof at around 15:30, where you can watch it standing for free. The shuttle has a flexible return time, so you decide when to head back. Book in advance, as capacity is limited.

Grandstand tickets along the route
Want to see the parade up close, seated, with catering and toilets? Grandstands are set up at several points along the 2027 route: Noordwijk, Voorhout, Sassenheim, Lisse South, Lisse and Hillegom. Seats per stand are limited, so book early. Prices start from around €43.50 for a seat, with options that add coffee & cake, lunch, or a day tour from Amsterdam.
For example, the Noordwijk Beach grandstand (Saturday 17 April, parade passes around 09:00, 425 seats, on the Koningin Astrid Boulevard, about 10 km from Keukenhof):

Watching the Flower Parade 2026 on a grandstand (not covered), it is possible again! With a grandstand seat Voorhout, you will experience the procession up close, and it is also possible to park nearby. Besides a nice spot with good views, toilet facilities will be provided and you can make use of the following options:
Grandstand Seat Sassenheim – 12.15 pm
The Flower Parade stand in Sassenheim has a whopping 800 seats and is covered. The grandstand can be booked exclusively in combination with a day tour from Amsterdam. Besides the Flower Parade, you will also visit Keukenhof Gardens where you decide when to take the shuttle bus back to Amsterdam. Please note: These tours have a limited number of participants and are usually fully booked well in advance. Therefore, book your tour on time!

Where to watch the parade for free
Prefer to watch for free? We recommend a spot south of Keukenhof, where it’s quieter than at the park itself. The centre of Lisse (about 15 minutes’ walk from Keukenhof) has a lively atmosphere every year and is a great free viewing spot.
