Before you go: Keukenhof in 2027

Keukenhof is a 32-hectare spring garden in Lisse with more than 7 million tulips, daffodils and hyacinths, flower shows in the pavilions and a historic windmill with a view over the fields. It is open for only eight weeks a year.

  • How long to stay: most visitors spend three to four hours in the gardens.
  • Best time for tulips: the tulips usually peak from mid to late April; in March the gardens are full of crocuses, daffodils and hyacinths.
  • Quieter times: weekdays and the first hour after opening are calmer than weekends and holidays.
  • Flower Parade day, 17 April: Keukenhof advises arriving before 12:00, because roads around the gardens close until 17:00. Want to see the parade itself? Choose one of the Flower Parade tours.
  • Accessibility: wheelchairs are available at the main entrance of Keukenhof.
  • More about the gardens: events, map and tips in our Keukenhof guide, the Keukenhof events 2027 and the Keukenhof map.
