Every fourth Sunday in September the small village Winkel is all about the Flower Parade Winkel. More than a million Dahlia flowers are used to create more than 20 floats for the Flower Parade.
Certainly not in the run-up to and during the annual Flower Parade, then the Winkelers are bigger than are ever! The ‘volunteers’ proudly work for weeks, if not months, on this day. The parade groups work hard on the more than twenty parade floats that will fill the streets in the village on every 4th Sunday of September. The hundreds of volunteers ensure that it comes to a beautiful and well-running whole. Figurants and music bands complement the parade, making it a spectacular whole every year!
