Heineken Experience
The Heineken Experience is located in the original Heineken Brewery. Gerard Adriaan Heineken bought this building back in 1863 when it was the De Hooiberg brewery. He then turned it towards the production of his eponymous beer. The building remained a brewery all the way up to 1988. It was then that it became a museum (and hotspot for Heineken consumption).
Located in the vibrant neighborhood of De Pijp, the Heineken Experience is ideally situated for a canal cruise, and some city exploration that takes you away from the hustle and bustle of Dam Square.

Going to parade preview & Keukenhof was wonderful. However, not everyone on the bus was going to the same place which caused unnecessary delays. Staff were very friendly.

The gardens and behind the scenes flower parade preparation were brilliant. The organisation left a little to be desired as I was initially given the wrong ticket (thank you to the enterprising employee who spotted me and made sure I got on the right bus!), the 16 people on the parade tour arrived in 3 different buses, nearly 2 hours apart, meaning that despite arriving for the tour at 10:15, we did not enter the parade preparation area until 1pm. Still worth it though.

This was not a guided tour as there was no tour guide so we never received any information about the tulips, the history of the parade, and the beauty of the flowers and area. It was just a bus ride to and from Amsterdam to the park and a bus ride to and from the decoration area. You are paying only for entrance fees and bus transportation. If you are wanting a guided tour this is not it! To see the tulips is amazing but I felt they misrepresented what I was getting when they said it was a tour.
