DESCRIPTION:Every year about 25 flower farms try their best to put a beautiful flower show in De Banne in Venhuizen. The growers of the flowers present the flowers in the most beautiful way possible in the hall. DESCRIPTION:From the 16th April till 20th April \, the former municipality of Anna Paulowna is dedicated to fragrance and color because of the 67th edition of the Bloemendagen (Flower Days). Throughout the polder you can admire over a hundred flower mosaics\, moving pieces\, decorated streets and bridges. \n\n\n\nMosaics are paintings made on tempex. Hyacinths are pricked with pins. More than 10\,000 flowers go into every square meter. You can imagine that there is lot of work involved here! Both young and old make the mosaics. These are real works of art that are set up in the makers’ gardens during the Bloemendagen. With a list of participants and a map\, which you can collect free of charge from the information post or from the info boxes along the side of the road\, you can determine your own route and use your own transport (bicycle\, car\, motorcycle) or the available buses along the works of art. to drive.  \n\n\n\nYou can visit The Bloemendagen by car\, bus or bicycle. DESCRIPTION:Spring Garden Breezand is one of the most populair pre-season indoor flower shows in Holland. More than 40 flower bulb growers create a spectacular and colorful event. Below are the locations and a brief description of the activities.  \n\n\n\n\nHistorical Garden Museum Aalsmeer (Praamplein\, Aalsmeer) A museum and botanical garden\, with hundreds of beautiful flowers and plants with historical value. Here you will learn all about the rich horticultural history of the ‘flower capital of the Netherlands’. Entrance fee € 6.00\n\n\n\nFlower Art Museum (Kudelstaartseweg 1\, Aalsmeer) Here\, everything revolves around art inspired by flowers and nature. Every quarter there are new exhibitions with contemporary artists. Entrance fee € 6.00\n\n\n\n\nParking\n\n\n\nThere is limited parking space at the various locations. SUMMARY:Sailing Flower Parade - The Hague\, Delft and Westland
DESCRIPTION:On June 21\, 22 and 23\, 2024\, Varend Corso Westland will travel across the water from Westland. It is the 25th anniversary of the Sailing Corso Westland. And it promises to be a particularly tasteful edition with a special anniversary sailing route. The parade has been a trendsetter and connector for young and old in the region for a quarter of a century. In those years it has grown into a spectacular multi-day event that attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors to the waterfronts. \n\n\n\nSailing Corso route\n\n\n\nEspecially for the 25th edition\, the parade will sail a festive lap on the Lee in De Lier on the opening day. That can be seen as the proverbial icing on the parade cake. The bunches will be released on Friday\, June 21 around noon at Trade Parc Westland\, after which they will enter the Lierse Lee via the Zwet\, ‘t Woudt and Zijtwende. The colorful procession continues through the entire center of De Lier to the Breelee where it turns around and then heads towards Schipluiden. After Schipluiden\, Maasland and Maassluis follow immediately. DESCRIPTION:The Flower Parade Rijnsburg runs every year on the 2nd Saturday in August and is composed of 12 floats and more than 50 other elements\, such as cars\, coaches\, music bands etc. In addition\, each theme of a float is supported and represented by more than 100 extras. This parade is also the start of the Dahlia Festival. \n\n\n\nEvery year the flower parade Rijnsburg attracts more than 350\,000 visitors. In recent years the event was successfully broadcast on national TV (broadcaster MAX). The first corso in Rijnsburg was organized in 1946 and has since then taken place every year. In addition\, every theme of a float is supported and represented by more than 100 extras.  \n\n\n\nProgramme Flower Parade Rijnsburg 2024\n\n\n\n9 August: Flower Parade Show in Flower Auction Royal FloraHolland\n\n\n\nAlready a day before the parade starts\, it can be viewed at the Royal FloraHolland flower auction in Rijnsburg. The doors open at 16.00 hrs and close at 22.00 hrs. The Flower Parade Show is an atmospheric afternoon and evening with floral splendour and entertainment. Visitors can view and photograph all the floats. Entrance is free! Address: Laan van Verhof 3\, 2231 BZ Rijnsburg \n\n\n\n10 August: Flower Parade Rijnsburg\n\n\n\nCome and watch on Saturday 10 August when the colourful parade drives through the streets of Rijnsburg\, Katwijk and Noordwijk from 13.00 hrs. With twelve floats\, three music trailers and about 40 other vehicles decorated with flowers\, this parade is a feast for the eyes and the ears! Special attention is paid to the musical participation. Together with the 100 extras\, they turn Flower Parade Rijnsburg into a driving theatre. DESCRIPTION:Every second Sunday in September the Dutch city of Lichtenvoorde flaunts impressing parade floats decorated with four million Dahlia’s. Every year (since 1929) approximately thousand volunteers participate in this impressive spectacle. \n\n\n\nThe Flower parade Lichtenvoorde is on the Dutch National Inventory list for immaterial cultural heritage. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRoute Flower Parade Lichtenvoorde\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe length of the route of the Flower parade is 2.5 km. DESCRIPTION:Every fourth Sunday in September the small village Winkel is all about the Flower Parade Winkel. More than a million Dahlia flowers are used to create more than 20 floats for the Flower Parade.  \n\n\n\nCertainly not in the run-up to and during the annual  Flower Parade\, then the Winkelers are bigger than are ever! The ‘volunteers’ proudly work for weeks\, if not months\, on this day. However\, a visit in the winter is highly recommended as the city is abuzz with winter activities and events during the Winter Festival Amsterdam. The city is brilliantly lit and around Christmas there are fun Christmas markets to visit. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTop activities during winter in Amsterdam\n\n\n\nDuring the Winter Festival\, there are many activities and events not to be missed. Below is a short list of our favourite winter activities in Amsterdam: \n\n\n\nAmsterdam Cruise by night\n\n\n\nAmsterdam Cruise by night\n\n\n\nA evening cruise through the canals in Amsterdam on a winter’s evening is highly recommended. The brilliantly lit canal houses and streets make the city a magical place. From 28 November 2024 to 19 January 2025\, an evening cruise is extra special because the Amsterdam Light Festival is held then. Along the canal cruise you will see unique light artworks which you sail past and sometimes through. DESCRIPTION:In 2025\, helicopter flights over the tulip fields will be available on two days during the flower parade weekend. The sightseeing flights will be available on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 April. This makes it easier to combine a visit to the flower parade with a sightseeing flight over the flower fields. \n\n\n\nOnly one helicopter is available and the number of sightseeing flights per flight day is limited. If you want to see the tulip fields from the helicopter\, we recommend booking your flight on time. Twenty heralds compete against each other to build the most beautiful float\, judged by a professional jury.
