Giethoorn is a peaceful village in the province Overijssel that is often referred to as the “Little Venice” of the Netherlands, due to its numerous waterways and absence of roads and cars.

It borders the Weerribben-Wieden National Park, which is the largest fen in northwestern Europe. Giethoorn is about 75 miles from the center of Amsterdam. If you want to travel wit public transport you can take the train to the city Zwolle (1,5 hours travel) and then take the bus to Giethoorn.
